    We collaborate with a lot of different local farmers to give our visitors and volunteers a unique and authentic experience. We’d love for you to come learn about what the farmers of Loei have to offer!

    Individual workshops

    Each of our workshops will give you an insight to the farming life in Loei, you might even get to meet one of the local grandma’s that help around the farm! We always use locally-sourced products. You arrive to a truly peaceful place just outside a rural town where the birds and bugs are always chirping. It’s the perfect get-away if you’re looking for something off-the-beaten-track in an authentically Thai area.

    Cacao Drink Workshop

    Discover the cacao journey from seed to sip:

    – Learn about the history of cacao and how it got to Loei
    – Try some cacao tea as a welcome drink
    – Learn the science
    – Smell, taste and touch 3 different cacao beans
    – Make your first cacao drink

    Cacao in this workshop is grown in Loei and harvested by local farmers using organic and sustainable practices.

    Coffee

    Coffee Tasting Workshop

    Dive into the world of coffee, from bean to cup:

    – Learn about different coffee varieties and how they’re grown in Thailand
    – Taste a selection of coffee beans grown in Loei
    – Train your senses to pick up on subtle notes and aromas
    – Swweten your coffee with different sugars produced in Loei

    Whether you’re a coffee lover or just curious, this workshop will leave you with a deeper appreciation for your daily brew.

    Mushrooms

    Oyster Mushroom Workshop

    Get your hands dirty as we take you through the whole mushroom-growing process:

    – Visit our small-scale mushroom farm
    – Learn about different edible varieties
    – Prepare the growing medium
    – Inoculate logs and bags with mushroom spores.
    – Learn how to grow your own at home.
    – Harvest and taste fresh mushrooms!

    Thai Cooking

    In our Thai Cooking Workshop, you’ll get hands-on in the kitchen and learn how to create some of Thailand’s most beloved dishes from scratch

    – Pick fresh ingredients from our garden or the local market
    – Learn about the herbs and spices that give Thai food its unique flavor
    – Guided by local cooks
    – Prepare and cook traditional meals together
    – Think fragrant curries, spicy salads, and rich stir-fries

    After all the chopping, sizzling, and tasting, we’ll sit down to enjoy the feast we’ve created. It’s a fun and tasty way to dive into Thai culture, one bite at a time.

    Coconut-sugar Workshop

    Discover how this sweet and earthy ingredient is made—straight from the source:

    – Learn how the nectar is turned into thick, golden sugar
    – Stir the bubbling pot yourself!
    – Shape the sugar into small blocks, ready to use in cooking or as a natural treat

    It’s a beautiful way to connect with a traditional process that’s still very much alive in rural Thailand.

    1-Day Workshop Package

    In our one-day course, you’ll get a hands-on glimpse into Thai farming and where some of your favorite products really come from. We’ll kick things off with the first workshop in the late morning, followed by a tasty Thai lunch together. In the afternoon, we dive into the second workshop, and to wrap it all up, we’ll take you on a relaxed tour around our Onederland farm. Simple, fun, and full of good vibes.

    2-Day Onederland Package

    Our 2-day package is the full Onederland experience—deep, hands-on, and immersed in nature. You’ll take part in three workshops: two on the first day, and the third on the morning of the second day, giving you even more time to learn, create, and connect with local life. Along the way, you’ll enjoy Thai lunch and dinner, take a relaxed Onederland Farm tour, and spend the night surrounded by peaceful countryside. In the morning, we’ll share a homemade breakfast before giving you a ride back to Loei or Chiang Khan. With a bit of luck, you might even spot some local wildlife during your stay—everything from colorful birds to curious lizards.
